Poultry Heaters

The furnace burner heats the tube, causing infra-red rays (heat) to be produced. The reflector located on top of the tube directs the infra-red rays to heat floors, walls, and birds. The Infra-red tube heaters send more heat to birds at lower than 90°F temperatures.

Fuel savings of 20% to 40% are not uncommon when older forced air systems are replaced with a single-input radiant tube heater. Forced air systems take about 36 hours to preheat a poultry house before chick placement. AgRadiant Infra-red tube heaters take 3 hours.
